The current records are:
Men’s: 72 pancakes
Women’s: 48 pancakes

Since 1969, but you won’t find it in any history books.

Do you cater more than just pancakes?
Yes, we have several different menus for you to choose from.
Planning Your Chris Cakes Event
Do you require a deposit?
Not normally, but you may pre-pay any amount you wish.
What if less than my estimated number of people show at my event?
After the minimum charge, 50% guarantee for fundraisers and 80% for non-fundraisers, plus delivery
What if more people show up than I estimated?
We normally bring enough supplies to account for about 25% more than your estimated number.
Am I charged any extra fees if I exceed my estimate?
No, just the per plate cost for the extra people served.
How far in advance can I book an event?
One calendar year on a first come – first serve basis.
What is your minimum charge?
$500.00 plus delivery for all our events.
What is the maximum serving time for a typical event?
2 Hours

Do you offer a special “kids price” for any of your meals?
Yes, kids that are 2 and under eat free (with paid adult).
What is the largest number of people served at one event?
5,000 people at Union Station in Kansas City, Missouri!
What is the average number of people served at a typical event?
250-300 people over a 2-hour period.
Why do I need to provide volunteers?
Typically we only bring one “flipper” to your event to cut down on costs to you and your organization.
What if people are still in line at the scheduled end of my event?
We will keep serving until everyone has a chance to go through the serving line.
Why do you charge for delivery?
It is designed to cover the costs of getting our equipment to and from your event.
What should I do if I can’t have Chris Cakes on the morning I want?
Try the evening before, or we can refer you to one of the other Chris Cakes in the midwest.
